Terms of Service
Nexora by Xscape Interactives · Last updated October 14, 20261. About these terms
Nexora (the “Service”) is a chat app made by Xscape Interactives (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms of Service. If you don’t agree, please don’t use Nexora.
We may update these terms. If we make an important change we’ll let you know in the app. Using Nexora after a change means you accept the updated terms.
2. Who can use Nexora
You must be at least 13 years old (or older if the law where you live requires it) to use Nexora. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you confirm a parent or guardian is okay with you using it.
If we learn that someone is under the minimum age, we may remove their account.
3. Your account
You sign up with a username and password only. We don’t collect an email address, which means we can’t reset a forgotten password. Keep your password safe. If you lose it, the account may be lost for good.
You are responsible for what happens on your account. Don’t share your login, and tell a moderator if you think someone else has access to it.
Don’t create accounts to get around a ban or suspension, and don’t pretend to be another person or to work for Nexora.
4. Be decent: what’s not allowed
You may not use Nexora to:
• harass, bully, threaten or hate on people, or encourage others to do so;
• post sexual content involving minors, or any sexual content in places that aren’t meant for it. We report child exploitation to the authorities;
• share graphic violence, or content that encourages self-harm;
• post spam, scams, phishing, malware or anything meant to trick or harm people;
• share other people’s private information (doxxing) or post anything you don’t have the right to share;
• break the law, or help others do so;
• attack, overload or try to break into Nexora or other people’s devices;
• collect other people’s data or use bots or scripts to flood or scrape the Service.
Space owners and moderators may add extra rules for their own spaces.
5. Your content
You own what you post. By posting it on Nexora you give us permission to store it and show it to the people it’s meant for (for example the members of a space, or the other person in a DM). That is only so the Service can work.
You are responsible for your content. Only post things you’re allowed to share. Uploaded pictures are re-encoded in your browser and their metadata (like location) is removed before upload, but you are still responsible for what is in the picture itself.
Messages you delete are removed from the Service, though copies may remain for a short time in backups.
6. Moderation and enforcement
The site owner and moderators can read and delete messages in spaces, handle reports, and warn, suspend or ban accounts that break these rules. Space owners can manage their own space, its roles and its channels.
You can report messages and block people. Reports are seen by moderators and the owner. Direct messages are private between the two people in them, but if you report a DM the reported text is shared with moderators.
We may remove content or accounts at any time, with or without notice, if we think it’s needed to keep people safe or keep the Service running. If you think we made a mistake, contact the owner or a moderator.
7. Privacy: what we keep
We store the information needed to run Nexora: your username, profile details you add (name, picture, status, bio, theme), your friends list, spaces you’re in, your messages, reactions, images and emojis you upload, your settings, and moderation records such as reports, warnings and bans. Online status, typing and voice-room presence are shared live with the people they’re relevant to.
Messages are stored on our servers and are not end-to-end encrypted. The people who run the Service can technically access stored data, and we may look at it only when needed to run, secure or moderate the Service, or if the law requires.
Voice chat, calls and screen sharing are sent directly between participants and aren’t recorded by us. Your IP address is visible to the other people in a call, as with most direct connections.
We don’t sell your data and we don’t show ads.
The Service uses other providers to work: Supabase (accounts and database), Vercel (hosting), GIPHY (GIF search) and a public STUN server (to set up calls). They handle data under their own policies.
8. Two-factor and security
You can turn on two-factor authentication in Settings. We do our best to protect the Service, but no system is perfectly secure, and you use Nexora at your own risk.
9. Our rights
Nexora, its design and its code belong to Xscape Interactives. You may not copy, resell or reverse-engineer the Service except where the law allows it.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using Nexora at any time. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms or if we shut the Service down. Some parts of these terms (like content responsibility and limits of liability) continue after that.
11. No promises, and limits of liability
Nexora is provided “as is” and “as available”. We don’t promise it will always work, be error-free or keep your messages forever. Please keep your own copy of anything important.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Xscape Interactives is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, lost data, or things other users post. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under law that can’t be limited.
12. Contact
Questions, reports or requests about your data? Contact the site owner or a moderator inside Nexora. See also our Privacy Policy.
